Health Tag Activity Tracking Validation

Health Tag Activity Tracking Validation

Objective:
The objective of this study was to conduct a physical activity accuracy evaluation comparing the Health Tag to ground truth (manual observation on recorded videos) across varied walking speeds, stillness, and non-step motion in a population of 29 healthy adults exhibiting varied physical characteristics.

Reference device:
Ground truth was manual observation, controlled using independent inter-rater assessment (95% confidence intervals based on the ratings made by 3 independent raters) on the same video, captured at a high frame rate (120 fps).

Results:
Over the claimed range of 1.5 - 2.5 miles per hour (mph), the Device Under Test (DUT), Health Tag, detected the observed steps with a 94.3% accuracy (p<0.001).
The Device Under Test, Health Tag, passed with a Mean Absolute Error (MAE)≤10% of the mean steps taken.
